About MGM Foundation
Born from faith, driven by compassion, and committed to lasting change in the communities we serve.
Our Story
MGM Foundation CIC began as a grassroots initiative rooted in a simple but powerful belief: that faith without works is dead. Inspired by James 2:15–16, our founder Mary Mahohoma saw the unmet needs of women, young adults, and vulnerable families in her community — and chose to act.
What started as a small, local effort is growing into a community-driven movement, partnering with like-minded organisations to deliver education, empowerment, creative engagement, and workforce development programmes across the UK and internationally.
We are a women-led Community Interest Company (CIC), registered in the United Kingdom, with a team of highly qualified professionals who bring decades of experience in nursing, mental health, data, and community development.
Our Objects
As set out in our Articles of Association, the objects of MGM Foundation CIC are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular to:
Advance Social Inclusion & Resilience
Advance social inclusion, wellbeing, and economic resilience for young mothers, vulnerable young adults, children, disadvantaged families, frontline care workers, and under-served communities through education, empowerment, creative engagement, and workforce development.
Promote Compassion & Opportunity
Promote compassion, empowerment, and opportunity by delivering training, mentoring, and wellbeing programmes that strengthen communities and improve access to sustainable employment and lifelong learning.
Support Local & International Initiatives
Develop and support local and international initiatives — including sustainable agriculture and women-led enterprises — that contribute to community wellbeing and social impact.
Our Mission
To empower women, vulnerable young adults (0–25), families, and communities through access to education, wellbeing programmes, digital tools, and sustainable income opportunities — building resilient, inclusive communities.
Our Vision
A world where every woman, young adult, and family — regardless of background or circumstance — has the education, support, and opportunity to achieve economic independence, personal wellbeing, and a thriving community life.
Our Values
Compassion
Every person we serve is met with genuine care, dignity, and respect.
Empowerment
We build capacity, not dependency — equipping people with tools for lasting independence.
Faith in Action
Our work is rooted in the belief that meaningful change requires belief paired with action.
Inclusion
We welcome all, ensuring our programmes are accessible and culturally sensitive.
Partnership
We achieve more together — collaborating with organisations, families, and communities.
Accountability
We measure our impact, learn continuously, and report transparently to those we serve.
